We are a small non-profit organization based in Central Pennsylvania. President, Renae Metz lives in Roaring Springs Pennsylvania, is a full time accountant as well as a mother of two beautiful girls. Renae found a facebook page one night, dedicated to finding dogs in high kill shelters a safe haven before they were to be euthanized. The shelters often kill upwards of twenty pit-bull type dogs per day, they are often the least likely to be adopted because of the negative stereo-types attached to the breed. Renae had her first dog rescued from the shelter within two weeks and we took off from there.
Brittany Miller lives in Ashville Pennsylvania, she is a full time certified nurses assistant, as well as a single mother of two small boys. Brittany grew up with pit bull type dogs and always had a passion for any animal. Brittany has a way with dogs and is very talented when it comes to the training of our dogs. She started having a passion for rescue after she fostered a very scared dog from a New York shelter who was due to be killed.
We know that we can't save them all, but we try. We dedicate all of our free time to these dogs who deserve so much more than the negative treatment they more often than not receive. We hope to change the minds and hearts of those who have not had the priviledge of having a bully best friend and we hope that you will help us every step of the way. Have you kissed a pit-bull today?
“A dog is the only thing on earth that loves you more than he loves himself.”
